UW 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Program Webinars & Counseling Sessions
December 17, 2021

UW System is making changes to enhance the UW 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Program (SRP), which provides an easy way for you to save for your retirement. Updates to the program, effective in January 2022, focus on cost-effectiveness, simplification, and ease of use for 403(b) participants.

Changes to the UW 403(b) SRP include offering the same 18 core investment options through two providers, TIAA and Fidelity. Participants can also choose to invest in funds through self-directed brokerage windows with either provider.

Counseling Sessions to help you
To help you better understand how the UW 403(b) SRP works and the options available to you, UW System is offering webinars and individual counseling sessions. During the sessions you can ask questions about the changes or get help navigating the websites to make your fund with the newly available choices.

Go to the Educational Resources section of the 403(b) Program Enhancements web page for more information about the webinars and sessions.

There’s still time to make your fund selections!
There is still time for you to make your fund selections from the new investment options or to specify how you want current balances invested. If you don't select investments before balances are moved, the transferred balances and new contributions starting with your January 13, 2022 paycheck will be invested in an age-appropriate Vanguard Target Date Fund.

The new funds and the brokerage windows will be available in January 2022. You can also specify your investments or move money between investments after the changes are made in 2022.
